May News

So, now that May has just been ticked off the calendar, I thought I’d do some May news! (Always late…)

I kind of feel like May didn’t really happen this year because it was so stormy, rainy and cold, and normally May is my absolute favourite month of the year. I was waiting all month for it to be May-like… However, it wasn’t all bad and we have just returned from a few absolutely glorious days at the Welsh coast.

In terms of writing and making, I have spent May reading Save the Cat! Writes a Novel by Jessica Brody which has been absolutely revelatory for me in reworking my YA manuscript. I was amazed to find that a lot of the elements were already in place and a few of them I just need to tweak and accentuate more.

I have also released a new collection of cards in my Etsy shop with birdy Bible verses (find them here), and have been preparing for a talk about the creative walk for the Christian Creative Summit. You can get tickets here and see my other post about it here.

I feel like although my head is buzzing with ideas that I don’t have the time to pursue, this summer will be fairly quiet for me externally. I’m saving all my energy for my writing project. It has been a long-held dream of mine to get a book of mine out into the world so I’m really hoping that this one can fly…

Take care folks, I’ll be back with some June news soon xx
