#19room

He said to wait and so we waited.
For what?
For him again,
for the light to come back
and show us what to do next,
and how to live.
And so we waited,
the eleven of us,
in the room,
small and cramped,
filled with a thin kind of emptiness –
what were we to do now?

And then it came,
the roaring wind,
tearing us up from the inside.
And then it came,
the holy fire;
burning the sadness away,
filling the empty rooms
of ourselves
with a new way of living.
