#84

She won’t sit still next to me on the sofa,
she jumps all over it as everyone else lazes in that post tea-time lull.
She has started to tell me her dreams.
‘There’s a blue train’, she says,
‘it’s gone off the rails, it’ going on the grass.’
Freedom, I think, for her,
Her life a train that runs
wherever it pleases.
