After dinner
I am sweeping the kitchen floor,
when I turn and pick up the scent
of fresh mint that
drifts in the back door.
Sam is waiting there,
almost completely covered with it,
the leaves trailing over his head,
hiding,
waiting for his Daddy to find him.
